I´m here!
Just got a few minutes in an internet cafe to give you a quick update. We all got here safely and are settling in well, recovered from the long journey. The people are so so welcoming! The team is getting on great. We´ve done so many things already it´s difficult to know what to mention. All 13 of us are crammed into a small house but it´s all we need. We´ve been doing orientation for the first two days and today we went to see the building site. There is lots to do, looking forward to getting started tomorrow. The food is amazing and the people sure do love their meat. We were invited to a BBQ yesterday which has to be the best food I´ve eaten for a long time.
The part of Salta we´re in is not as urban as I expected. It´s so difficult to describe it. I´ll try and do a better job when I have more time, hopefully with photos. It´s very dry, no rain this time of year. However it gets very cold at nights, verging on 0 degrees. During the day the sun heats it up very quickly.
